Hello little Alien Baby

So last week went as follows - Monday was +29 tolerable still sweat my ass off. Tuesday was +31 i was dying of heat!! I'm so screwed this summer is all I have to say. I thought being pregnant with Braden was bad in July - but with this one, I'm pregnant ALL SUMMER! haha. Oh man. I need an air conditioner :p

So we got a bit of a thunderstorm on tuesday night, cooled the house right down so I was able to sleep a little bit. So we go from +31 on tuesday to +4 yesterday (friday) and it's been raining since thursday. hello mosquitos. So now it's may long weekend, and I have a few crazy friends who have gone camping. If i had a trailer I would so be out of the city - but alas I'm not tenting it on may long, when there's still a chance of snow!

So I went for my ultrasound last friday - Baby is so active! summersaults and stretching one way, then going the other. Definitely not a lazy baby in there ha. buuuuuuut baby was soooo active, that we couldn't find out what we're having! The ultrasound tech wants me to have another one though because she said she didn't get clear enough of pictures of baby's heart (but that baby's heart is 100% good) So hopefully we can go for another one, and maybe we can find out! First time we heard the heartbeat it was 156, second time (same day as the ultrasound) it was 130, and then at the ultrasound it was 156! I think it's a boy. I can't think of any boy names!!! If it is a boy, i can't name him Nathaniel - because that's dad's name so it'd be his middle name. And I can't name him Ethan - because my mom's boyfriends daughter named her son that. GRR!

Anyway - Braden is doing so well in school! The other morning we woke up at 7:37 (he's supposed to be getting dressed at that time ha!) and he was amazing all morning! Got dressed good, ate breakfast good, brushed teeth, got all his stuff for school ready. It was fantastic! And then the walked great to school too. I LOVE GOOD MORNINGS!
He's been pretty bummed about not being able to go outside really for the past few days - as it's far too wet outside to do so. So i was thinking today - maybe we'll take him to go and do something fun! Maybe a movie or something? He's being awfully cute right now, snuggled up on the couch watching the bugs bunny and tweety show. haha. I love him!

Nathan is still sleeping. He's been stressing out so hardcore about school. You're required to go to school, BUT they've crammed a four year program into three. RIDICULOUS! You have eight weeks to complete this course, when you should at the very minimum twelve! It's just a buncha white collared men sitting in an office - who have never been on the floor doing the actual job, who make up the course and write the final exams. So Nathan is usually at the kitchen table (which i hardly recognize anymore, due to all his school work spread around) reading page after page etc. Not to mention his allergies are acting up and his eyes are killing him. I feel so bad for him :(

and then there's me. 20 weeks pregnant. Not working. And terrified of what to expect with this labour! With Braden, i was ridiculously active - i walked to and from work everyday and I was also working two jobs. I was in good shape. This time. Not so much. I've been home since January 2009. Yes we walk plenty - to and from school and taking the dog for a walk. But it's not the same. It's not as much as I did with Braden. eeeeps! Please let this labour be as good as Braden's!!

My friend Ashley had her wee little man on may 15th. She did a home birth! She's pretty amazing. <3 I can't wait to meet the newest addition :)

a day in the life of...

So today started just like any other day. Woke up, got Braden up and ready for school.
I'm not sure what the baby was doing in my belly, but every morning when i'm walking Braden to school - it's like the baby is stretching out or something, cuz my belly gets right tight, and there's lots of pressure there. It's very odd.

Braden is so excited, he got invited to a birthday party at let's play! next weekend. (awful over crowded indoor play gym type thing, makes me want to rip my hair out due to the ridiculous amounts of children in such a small area!) I feel bad for him though, cuz his birthday is in August - so I'm not sure how many kids from his class will be able to come to his party. Oh well, better keep everyone's numbers!

Nathan will be home from school soon (in school for 1st year pipefitter) and i've managed to accomplish absolutely nothing! way to go me! it's been one of those days.
I'm not sleeping properly, at all. So i'm ALWAYS tired. 2 o'clock comes around and i'm ready for bed. It's terrible. I bought a cold air humidifier in hopes it'd help clear my nose so I could sleep. It helped for the first few nights, and now it's just the same shit. GR!
AND this HEARTBURN! My god! I didn't start getting heartburn like this with Braden until I was at least 24-26 weeks along. This time it started from about 8 weeks on. It's ridiculous! Everything will give me heartburn. Give it a rest baby!

Wow, seems like all i've done is complain about this pregnancy. ha. oops. I am super excited about it though.

Kind of stressing about finding a place to move to though. Right now we're in a two bedroom townhouse, and it barely fits three people. Let alone an extra body in the basement and a 50lb dog.

We want to move to Beaumont BUT the schools there are overcrowded, and I really really don't want to switch Braden schools. I don't get my license until October (either shortly before or after baby is born) so I wouldn't even have the option of driving him into school everyday. But the houses in this neighbourhood (which i want to stay in) are so over priced. It's absurd how expensive the cost of living is. HELLO! we're in a recession here people! Clearly that matters to people now.

Who knows, maybe we'll luck out like our friends and get amazing landlords who will let us rent to own. Ah wouldn't that be nice!

On that note, i'm gonna take my dirt bag ass and get in the shower - and then get Braden's stuff ready for his dad's. So much excitement, i might just pee my pants!

how ridiculous is it to think of a blogging name?

First post - and it took me almost an hour to think of blogging name! how ridiculous is that? bah!
everyone i thought of, was taken. or else there were just some really lame ones. but alas, it is choosen. not the best - but it best describes summer for me. ha. can't live without sunglasses and chapstick.

anyway - my house is insanely quiet right now. Well besides futurama playing in the background, and my dog chowing down on her food. mmmm jowlie lucy.. nasty. she bubbles. it's special. haha.

Braden is sound asleep, and has been since about 8.
Loser boyfriend Nathan is already in bed. Lazy ass.
And loser loser brother CJ is hibernating in the basement after chowing down on a box of kd. my house smells now.

And me - i'm sitting here with my 17 week baby belly. Having heartburn, and having to pee every fifteen minutes. ahhhh this is the life!

We go for our second ultrasound on May 14th! Here's to hoping this little one cooperates. God knows their big brother sure did when I found out with him. lol there was no denying he was a boy. Nathan says I'm having a girl. I will be estatic if I am - but just as estatic if it's a boy!

Six years between my kids is kinda scary. It'll be nice because Braden is older, but I don't know how close they'll be with such an age difference. Braden is so ridiculously excited to be a big brother though. It's absolutely adorable! He came up to my belly the other day and said "you better come out healthy!" it was the cutest thing ever!!!

well on that note - i should take my ass to bed. i have a very entertaining day of dropping off/picking up braden from school, and hopefully doing a full cleaning of my house. i wonder how long it'll stay clean this time? i give it an hour.
